Cousin Vinny`s in San Juan Island

The pasta from hell was the exact spicy flavorful pasta this indian vegetarian needed! Definitely gonna try at home!

We had a great server who really knew the menu and assisted me with chosing my dish/ the Pasta from Hell with shrimp. You would not expect an Italian restaurant to have curry in a dish. This was truly awesome! Great flavors and the HEAT was on point (not for the faint of heart). I love spicy and still want to taste what I'm eating. This dish was did actually that.Chicken parmesan was ordered and that too was prepared perfectly. Staple dishes like chx parm are not always executed well and Vinny's came through!We also enjoyed the Drunken clam appetizer, has a delicious lightly spicy cream/tomato sauce. Our server recommended a lovely red wine too. The bananas foster fell short. The sauce was over done and could taste the burnt. Plenty of ice cream to still enjoy it.

When you choose Italian for dinner you want to leave happy and full and maybe with a take out box. I left still hungry and very dissapointed . Despite being aweful the portion sizes were dismal. I paid over 25$ for a 1/4 cup of bland dry speghetti noodles topped with a 1/8th of a ponded piece of chicken breast ( the Piccata) I was shocked it's less than what I feed my children. I could see 3/4 of my dinner plate. I had to ask for more bread to fill me up. Evey bite I was thinking I can't believe I'm going to pay 25$ for someone to boil me noodles and still leave hungry. Don't let the fancy dining room fool you into paying big money for something your kid can make you.

Service a bit slow and two of those in our party had pasta that was gluten free. The pasta was undercooked and one of the group didn't eat any of it. We were offered the option of having them cook more, but given the very lengthy wait for food, they didn't want to be eating when the rest of us were done and ready to leave. The non-gluten options were good. My lasagna was excellent.

A great place to eat if you're looking for Italian

Vinny's is a fabulous favorite of our family & friends. We come into Friday Harbor a few times a year & always make Vinny's our 1st dinner. Absolutely love the Veal Picatta while my huband loves the Veal Marsala. Everything we've had is amazing.

We dined at Vinny's while on our honeymoon. It was December and not too busy. A very quiet, comfortable and romantic atmosphere. It still holds a special place in our hearts.

Gluten free pasta available which really opens up options when the family wants Italian. Upscale environment. Tables have a clean white paper top, even when it's just us adults we still ask for crayons and draw all over the table while we wait lol. We keep it classy so I don't think anyone minds our art.

Good food! Very pricey for Italian food......but it is very good. A pasta-based dish entree (veg or chicken) should seldom justify $25+ (in my opinion)...close to $60/person with a glass of wine, salad and desert.....everything "a la carte" ; Friday Harbor "wring" visitors wallets well.

Service was terrible. Half hour to get seated with a 2/3 empty restaurant. What was the hostess doing??? Clear a table and seat your customers. The waitress never came by to check if we needed anything (water or drinks). Spaghetti was alright which is why I gave this place two stars.

Went to the restaurant at 7pm, finally got seats at 8, food at 8:45. Definitely recommend reservations. It was crowded on a Saturday. Good food but if you're hungry you may not want to wait so long. That's why only two stars. Nice staff though but they could have warned us about the wait. They just kept saying just a minute, just a minute. I was getting frustrated.

Excellent food, excellent attentive service.

Pretty decent. Salmon, garlic butter prawns, house salad, plenty of warm fresh bread with balsamic vin and olive oil. Killer fudge sunday. Friendly server, Julie. Will return.

First the good. Very nice server. Excellent warm bread and nice strong drinks for a fair price.Now the bad. Food was fair if that. To top a forgettable meal off we ordered terimisu which was terrible. I think it had been made with sour sweet cream. Inedible.

My sister had her rehearsal dinner here and they rented out the whole place. The food and the service were great! They had a limited menu for the event, but everything I ate was delicious and I remember eating way too much. The wine was great, too.

Exceptional restaurant. Open all year - long standing business. A must for quality fine dining and culinary excellence.

We celebrate my birthday here. Their hospitality was great. Thank you for that! Cocktail and starters were so good. Pasta and sauce were okay, however I expected more than that. Also, the portion was smaller than classic Italian portions.

The food was pretty good, not stellar, but probably the best dinner had in Friday Harbor. Great bread. Only real grip is how I perceived the hostess acted when she noticed we had an infant with us. She acted pretty put off that we'd bring a baby in there.

Excellent service. The hostess, we suspect is the owner, was very kind and took time to assist the server in speeding our orders up.Food was okay. The gluten free pasta was very good, but the sauce was sub par. The server asked if we would like bread on the table since I'm allergic, which was nice.

Always visit Vinny's when on the Island. Excellent food and Excellent Service. Definitely will be back for more!!!!!!!

The food was amazing. The best bread I think I've ever had coming out hot. The owners, I believe they were sisters were amazing ladies. I highly recommend!

Excellent food at a reasonable price. For the best value, make sure to only purchase one entree for each person -- appetizers and desserts are unremarkable and dramatically increase the cost of dinner. I recommend the lasagna!

Another great Friday harbor restaurant. Has a definite Italian flair with the decor, nice views out towards the water, and a great menu of both creative and classic Italian food. We enjoyed a stuffed pepper appetizer and classic lasagna and clam linguini. Many tempting desserts, we opted to split the ample and delicious bananas foster.

Real Italian cuisine, fresh and flavorful. Welcoming and enthusiastic wait staff. Our party of eight was served well. My mushroom appetizer was super. Sautéed mushrooms with a bit of soft cheese and crostini.

I had already posted a review, but it is excellent Italian. I am Finnish, not Italian, but I had the spaghetti chicken, also known as chicken parmigiana, and it was great!

I would definitely recommend this very nice restaurant.It was full the night we went and the staff worked very hard to keep everyone serviced. The calamari was the best I have ever had. The pasta was good. I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Our dinner took 2 1/2 hours. No joke. Food was average, we all had to use quite a bit of salt, pretty bland. Salads and dessert were good though.

Best restaurant in town. The calamari is a must, you will never have any calamari like it!
